Are you tired of doing the same things everyday? Did you ever wish you could experience something extraordinary, something that can make you happy? Or up to now are you still searching for the meaning and purpose of your existence? I most of your answer to my questions are yes, you need not to worry because I myself also reached that point in my life, when I stopped and tried to reflect. I am here to bring you hope and to let you realize that indeed, happiness is just around the corner.

If we are going to consult Webster’s dictionary for the meaning of happiness it says that happiness is the state of being happy, enjoying pleasure, being successful, lucky and living in concord. Well, I have asked a nurse close to my heart about her definition of happiness and she said that happiness to her is being able to render the best possible care to patients across all walks of life. On the other hand, a professor defines happiness as for her students to be the positive change in this world. We can clearly see how the word happiness varies from different professions.

The fundamental question now is: Where can we find happiness? In my 20 years of existence I’ve realized that happiness is not a feeling that needs to be searched and asked for. It’s not a feeling you get when you flip your pass book or the massive variety of clothes you have in you wardrobe. Rather, happiness is realizing that you have a family who will never judge or condemn you. A family that will always be at your side no matter what happens.

Secondly, happiness is knowing that you have friends that you can always count on; true friends who love you as who and what you are. Thirdly, happiness is found in the education a person has. The achievement of making it to the last year of college is another reason to be happy. Have you ever took time to smell the flowers around you? Or did you ever thank the trees for the shade they bring whenever you need it? Believe or not, nature is my fourth reason to be happy.

In a nutshell, the happiness of my life depends on the quality of my thoughts. Whenever I have a positive outlook in life, I can easily see the beauty in everything. Also, happiness is a voyage not a destination. It is in the journey where one can find happiness not in the reason of ones’ journey. There is no better time to be happy than NOW. Live and enjoy every moment. Our life will be full of challenges and it’s better to admit as much and to decide to be happy in spite of all.

Daddy’s Empty Chair

just wanted to post my picture.

this e-mail was from my tito justin.. a very heart-changing message. i just want to share this cool message.

DADDY’S EMPTY CHAIR

A man’s daughter had asked the local minister

to come and pray with her father

When the minister arrived,

he found the man lying in bed with his head

propped up on two pillows.

An empty chair sat beside his bed.

The minister assumed that the old fellow

had been informed of his visit.

‘I guess you were expecting me, he said.

‘No, who are you?’ said the father.

The minister told him his name and then remarked,

‘I saw the empty chair and I figured you knew I was going to show up.’

‘Oh yeah, the chair,’ said the bedridden man.

‘Would you mind closing the door?’

Puzzled, the minister shut the door.

‘I have never told anyone this, not even my daughter,’ said the man.

‘But all of my life I have never

known how to pray.

At church I used to hear the pastor talk about prayer, but it went right over my head

I abandoned any attempt at prayer,’
the old man continued
until one day four years ago, my best friend said to me, ‘Johnny, prayer is just a simple matter

of having a conversation with Jesus.

Here is what I suggest.

‘Sit down in a chair;

place an empty chair in front of you,

and in faith see Jesus on the chair.

It’s not spooky because he promised,

‘I will be with you always’. ‘Then just speak to him in the same way

you’re doing with me right now.’

‘So, I tried it and I’ve liked it so much

that I do it a couple of hours every day.

I’m careful though. If my daughter saw me talking

to an empty chair, she’d either have a nervous breakdown or send me off to the funny farm.’

The minister was deeply moved by the story and encouraged the old man to continue on the journey.

Then he prayed with him, anointed him with oil,

and returned to the church.

Two nights later the daughter called

to tell the minister that her daddy

had died that afternoon.

Did he die in peace?’ he asked.

Yes, when I left the house about two o’clock,

he called me over to his bedside,

told me he loved me and kissed me on the cheek.

When I got back from the store an hour later,

I found him .

But there was something strange about his death. Apparently, just before Daddy died,

he leaned over and rested his head on the chair

beside the bed. What do you make of that?’

The minister wiped a tear from his eye and said,

‘I wish we could all go like that.’

Just send this to four people or more,

and do not break this, please.

Prayer is one of the best free gifts we receive.

I asked God for water, He gave me an ocean.*

I asked God for a flower, He gave me a garden.*

I asked God for a friend, He gave me all of YOU…

If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

Happy moments, praise God.

Difficult moments, seek God.

Quiet moments, worship God

Painful moments, trust God .

Every moment, thank God.

thank God, i have this ‘spare time’ to write.. this would be short because i have alot of iteneraries today.. anyway, i feel different this past few days.. i’m not so much of myself right now.. (sigh) i don’t know, maybe i’m still clinging on the boring summr days.. or just maybe missing someone. (oh yeah, now i’m being honest) i’m still not in the mood to continue wrting., i think it’s because of the ambiance here.. actually we are (lrt grls) in an internet cafe here in san marcelino.. and you know.. not a very good place for Emo mood.. haha.. oxa, i have to stop blogging now.. next tym!

hello world. i was inspired to create my own blog because of chico’s amazing site! i’m not expecting to have a great one like his, but i jst want to share to the world my thoughts about everything! i think this would be so soo cool! for xur noone would care to read my entries but anyhow, i will try to publish my blog, soon.. (sigh) honestly, i’m not a writer or journalist but i find this writing, cool and healthy. haha, yes, i did say healthy; in the sense that i can relax and reflect to every moment that is happening to me. well, so much with this explanation and everything! i need to introduce first myelf. Ok, i’m 20years old, a senior college student in Philippine Normal University, taft ave’ manila. I don’t wish to be an educator but i learn to love teaching. My real passion is acting on stage. I enjoy acting infront of many people! Well, according to our professors, teaching is actually acting! How cool is that! Second thought of it, it’s amazingly true! We try to act as a teacher and our stage is the classroom! Yehmen. haha.. that’s the reason, in all my demo teaching i’m always bubbly and energetic! because i try to be myself and just enjoy whatever i’m teaching. (sigh) On the other side of my life, i am a ditche (second from the eldest) in a brood of nine! Yes, i belong to a big family. i have 5 brothers and we are 4 girls in the family. Well, one big HAppY family! hhmm, We are in sort of an active member of our church. WE belong in Neo Catechumenal Way. By the way, we are Catholic; it’s just hard to explain. It’s like YFC but actually it’s not! Weird right! maybe, i’ll find sometime to tell the story of neo and explain things soon.. what else?! i’m currently in love with american idol and hana kimi! i wish david cook will win the competition!! ok, i think, this will be enough for now.. i’m just in a internt cafe to check my mail and i find myself writing in my new blog! yehmen! haha. until next tym.
